The UD Almería centre-back missed Tuesday’s training session due to inflammation in his right ankle and will remain sidelined over the coming days. He is making positive progress
UD Almería can confirm that Rodrigo Ely missed Tuesday’s training session due to inflammation in his right ankle. The centre-back is currently sidelined and will continue to be monitored by the Club’s medical staff.
The Club’s medical team explained that Ely experienced discomfort when putting weight on the affected joint on Tuesday afternoon and subsequently underwent a series of medical tests at Vithas Almería Hospital.
The Brazilian defender has received intravenous anti-inflammatory treatment and is showing positive signs of recovery. However, he will remain out of training until the inflammation has subsided sufficiently for him to return to the pitch.
The Club will continue to monitor his progress over the coming days.
