The UD Almería defender remains in hospital and is responding well as he continues treatment for an inflammatory condition affecting his right ankle
UD Almería provided an update last Wednesday on Rodrigo Ely after the centre-back was ruled out with an inflammatory condition in his right ankle.
Following a number of medical examinations at Vithas Hospital, the Club’s medical team decided to admit Ely for treatment, including intravenous medication and anti-inflammatory treatment for the arthritis affecting the joint. His recovery is progressing slowly.
With the defender having now spent several days in hospital, the Club can confirm that Ely is doing well and remains under daily medical and blood-test monitoring.
Further tests were carried out on Saturday, with his condition continuing to be monitored closely. It is hoped that his recovery will continue to progress positively in the coming days.
The Brazilian is keen to return to training and will be discharged from hospital once the clinical condition has fully cleared.
