The UD Almería defender continues to suffer from high-grade inflammatory arthritis in his right ankle and is currently staying at Vithas hospital to receive the intravenous treatment considered the most effective by the Club’s medical staff
After being discharged from hospital last week, UD Almería defender Rodrigo Ely initially continued with oral treatment at home. However, during a medical review carried out last Monday, the specialists observed that the joint was not responding as expected. As a result, it was decided that he should be admitted to hospital again so that the treatment could be administered intravenously.
The Club reports that the Brazilian is doing well and that the progression of the arthritis is slow but steady, which specialists consider normal in this type of condition. According to the statement, the cause of this type of condition is multifactorial.
The defender is in good spirits and eager to recover so that he can return to action and be available for selection.
