UD Almería could suffer from international football's FIFA virus
Six UD Almería first-team players will join up with their national teams: Mendes (Guinea Bissau) Baba (Ghana), Lopy (Senegal), Koné (Mali) as well as Kaiky and Lázaro Vinicius (Brazil U23)
The international break will pause LaLiga EA Sports and therefore, there will be no Matchday next weekend (9th-10th September). A total of 6 UD Almería first-team players are going to join up with their respective home countries so the team could succumb to the FIFA 'virus'.
Mendes (Guinea Bissau) Baba (Ghana), Dion Lopy (Senegal), Koné (Mali) as well as Kaiky and Lázaro Vinicius (Brazil under-23) will all leave on Monday for international duty and will not return until mid-September [between the 12th and the 14th], just on time to be available to face the fifth official match, in which UD Almería will be playing in Villarreal on 17th Sunday.
It is undoubtedly a severe setback for UD Almería head coach Vicente Moreno, who could have taken advantage of the week without competition to help these new recruits adapt to the squad.
