A win over CD Tenerife would place UD Almería in race for promotion

The Rojiblancos could also lose, but in this case they would have to rely on other Matchday results. The squad returned from Miranda de Ebro and will train this Monday. Nico Melamed is available again. Rubi will now be able to be in the dugout

With just one Matchday to go until the end of the LaLiga Hypermotion regular season, UD Almería have everything in their favor to qualify for the promotion play-offs and thus enter the fight for promotion to the Primera Division. Next Sunday, at 6:30pm (Spanish Time), the Rojiblancos host already-relegated CD Tenerife and a win over the Islanders would put them in the promotion race.

Even a draw could be enough for the Indálicos, as long as Granada CF don't beat Real Racing Club de Santander... and even a defeat, although for that, Granada CF would have to lose at the Campos de Sport de El Sardinero.

Furthermore, 6th-placed UD Almería could move up to 5th in the standings if they take the three points against CD Tenerife and the Santander players don't beat Granada CF.

The UD Almería travelling squad arrived this Sunday night from Miranda de Ebro via Vitoria, where they took a charter flight to Almería. This Monday there will be an active recovery training session. Tuesday will be a day off, while they will be back to focus on Sunday's final.

Nico Melamed will be available again for this crucial match after serving the two-match suspension imposed for his sending-off in Cádiz. Rubi will also be eligible to sit in the dugout. The only absence for now is Baba, who continues with tailored training in his road to full recovery.
