UD Almería vs Sevilla FC Copa will play Spanish Cup third-round tie on 4 January

The Spanish Federation has announced the specific dates and kick-off times of the round of 32 matches of the Cup tournament. The match kicks off at 5:30pm Spanish Time

UD Almería will host Sevilla FC for the Spanish Cup round of 32 tie on Saturday, 4 January at 5:30pm as confirmed by the RFEF, who has just announced the specific dates and kick-off time of this tie.

Both Andalusian teams, who coincided in the previous two seasons in the Primera division, also faced each other in the Cup tournament in the quarter-finals of the 2020/21 campaign with the Sevillistas winning 0-1. Former UDA head coach José Gomes and Sevilla FC gaffer Lopetegui were back then at the helm of the two teams from South Spain.

Sevilla FC sit 13th in the Primera division at the moment and reach this third round after having previously knocked Las Rozas and Olot out. UD Almería beat UD San Sebastián de los Reyes and Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa to put their name in the hat for this round.

The Copa del Rey tie between the two Andalusian sides looks very exciting and full of incentives. It will serve to resume the official competition in 2025 at the UD Almería Stadium since the league will not begin until a week later, after reaching its halfway point on 22 December, when it will pause for the Christmas holidays.
