Robertone: 'CD Tenerife will go all out to make up for Matchday 1 defeat'

This is the 5th season at UD Almería for the Argentinian co-captain who is one game away from entering the top 15 of players who have worn the Rojiblancos' shirt the most throughout the Club's history

UD Almería central midfielder Lucas Robertone has analysed on UDA Radio the second match that his team play this Saturday in Tenerife in the following terms: 'We expect strong rivals who will go all out to make up for Matchday 1's defeat since they could not get any point against CD Eldense. Even more so because they will play at home and with their people.'

The Argentinian player heaped praise on some of the islanders' strengths: 'I'll be another complicated game, like all of them. They are players who know this complex and competitive division perfectly which is always an extra point.' However, Robertone clarified: 'We're also players like that and with our weapons, we'll look for the 3 points.'

The 27-year-old footballer suffers from shoulder dislocation pain that he had in the last match and that, before taking on Racing de Santander, he had suffered on several recent occasions: 'The first time it happened to me was last season in a league match. I think my shoulder is now a little sensitive because with any struggle or sudden move it comes out of place. It hurts a lot, but luckily it's something that doesn't prevent me from continuing to play just as it happened in Santander or in the pre-season. We [footballers] have got used to play through the pain though.'

This is the first week after Matchday 1 and in relation to the analysis of the league curtain-raiser, Robertone has acknowledged the following: 'There are many things to improve from the other day against Racing although this league is long, the sooner we find a solution, the better. I also have to highlight positive things about the meeting to stay on track.' On that note, he stressed: 'We started the game well, but we were weakened with that penalty, which came as a shock and affects you psychologically. The team changed its plan at half-time and in terms of football, we didn't do it outstanding, but the desire and attitude were intact and that's why we also got to tie.'

According to Transfermarkt, the central midfielder has worn the Rojiblancos' shirt in 129 games and is about to enter the top 15 of players who have worn it the most throughout the Club's history. With regard to this information, he confessed: 'This is something very nice for me. It's been 4 seasons now. I feel really happy in Almería and that's why I've reached that number of games.'
