Spanish Cup round of 16 tie against CD Leganés will be played on Wednesday

UD Almería will play hosts to the Pepineros at 7:30pm (Spanish Time) with the aim of qualifying for the quarter-finals of the tournament. It is a Cup tie that the team have played twice throughout the Club's history

The Spanish Cup round of 16 tie will be contested by hosts UD Almería and guests CD Leganés next Wednesday, 15th January at 5:30pm (Spanish Time) as confirmed by the RFEF. The Rojiblancos will have the same time to prepare with respect to the two league fixtures that they have to face before and after the Cup meeting in a week that will be hectic, demanding and vital. 
 
This Sunday, 12th January, the UD Almería first team have won the first domestic league return fixture against Córdoba CF, one of the few teams that were unbeaten at home. Then, the Cup meeting will come at home on Wednesday, 15th January and on Sunday, 19th January, this packed schedule will end by hosting SD Huesca at the UD Almería Stadium. The Oscenses said goodbye to 2024 with six-game unbeaten streak. 
 
Three games that are faced with the firm intention of remaining top of the table and advancing to the Spanish Cup quarter-finals for the third time in the Club's history. In 2011, the semi-finals were played against FC Barcelona and in 2021 the quarter-finals took place against Sevilla FC.
