The Rojiblancos held their first training session at the Stadium. Thursday will be a day off with the squad returning on Friday to put the finishing touches to their preparations for the start of the campaign
The first-team squad for the 2026/27 season got their first taste of their new home this Wednesday, training at the UD Almería Stadium as they prepare for Monday’s league opener against CD Eldense.
Since the final match of last season, the second leg of the promotion play-off final, the squad had not set foot on the main pitch, which has undergone the necessary improvement works ahead of the new campaign.
It was the first training session at the Stadium for Xavier García Pimienta’s new-look Almería. During pre-season, the team trained at the Anexo ground before heading to Marbella for their training camp.
The Rojiblancos will return to the Stadium on Friday following Thursday’s rest day and again on Sunday, as they complete their final preparations for Monday’s opening-day fixture against CD Eldense.
