UD Almería U19 'A' fall short against table-toppers after red card
The Academy youth team edge closer to top spot despite 1-2 loss to Real Betis Balompié U19s
UD Almería U19 'A' saw their hopes of staying at the top dashed by a 1-2 defeat to Real Betis Balompié U19s, despite putting in a strong performance. The youthful Rojiblancos initially took the lead in the first half, but a second-half equaliser from the visitors and a subsequent red card left them with just 10 men. Real Betis capitalised on the man advantage to seal the victory.
In contrast, UD Almería U19 'B' had a dominant performance, thrashing Juventud de Torremolinos CF 4-0, and now sit near the top of the second-tier national league standings.
Meanwhile, UD Almería’s U16s and U14s faced mixed results. The U16s drew 1-1 against Málaga CF but lost 0-3 to Ciudad de Roquetas, while the U14s suffered a 1-3 defeat to Málaga CF and a 1-1 draw against Villa de Albox.
On a brighter note, the U12s, U10s and U8s teams had a clean sweep, winning all their respective fixtures.
