UD Almería U19 'A' cannot drop points in race to top the table

After setback against UD Tomares U19, the UDA Academy prospects host CD Vázquez Cultural this Sunday at the Francisco Pomedio ground (KO 12:30pm CEST)

Tensions are riding high atop of the table and UD Almería Under-19s 'A' are aware that they cannot drop more points if they want to continue having chances to reach the first place against Sevilla FC U19 and Real Betis U19. The UDA Academy Rojiblancos fell away from home to UD Tomares U19 while both Sevillian youth sides won their matches. As a result, Real Betis under-19s are topping the table with 77 points; Sevilla FC Under-19s are the runners-up two points behind (75), while the teenage Rojiblancos moved down to third with 73 points. In other words, UD Almería U19'A' are four points behind the current leaders.

For this reason, Alberto Lasarte's boys have to pick up three points in all their remaining games and hope that the top two fail. It will not be easy for them as they host Vázquez Cultural who are embroiled in a relegation battle. The team are two points clear of the drop zone (35), but UD Tomares U19s are level on points with them, so they are definitely going to go all out to move further away from the trapdoor no matter what.
