UD Almería U19s 'A' took a commanding 3-0 lead against Sevilla FC U19s, only for the home side to mount a late comeback and level the score in added time, securing a dramatic 3-3 draw. Despite the disappointment of conceding the leveller, the UD Almería boys' strong performance against one of Spain’s top youth teams highlighted the potential within the squad.
The season has been challenging for UD Almería U19s 'A', who have already faced the top three teams in the league within their first 5 fixtures. The squad has shown resilience, with notable results including a hard-fought 2-1 defeat to Betis Balompié U19s despite being reduced to 10, and a goalless stalemate against Cádiz CF U19s. In addition to their draw in Sevilla, they also earned a 3-1 win over Córdoba CF U19s and a hard-fought draw in the Almería derby against UCD La Cañada Atlético. While the record is solid, a bit of luck could have seen the youth team in an even stronger position.
In their latest encounter against Sevilla FC U19s, UD Almería 'A' initially dominated the match, going 3-0 up in the opening half. At the under-16 level, the Indálico teams achieved a double victory, with the 'A' team defeating Séneca 2-1 and the 'B' team beating AD Malaka CF 3-1. However, the U14s faced setbacks, with both the 'A' and 'B' teams suffering narrow defeats to Séneca and Málaga CF, respectively.
The younger age groups enjoyed success, with the U12s, U10s 'A', and both U8 sides winning their matches. The U10s 'B' did not compete on this Matchday.
