UD Almería U19 A crowned Juan Oncala Fair tournament champs

The Academy products beat Villarreal CF in the semi-finals and RC Celta de Vigo in the final to lift the title

UD Almería Under-19s 'A' became champions on the 10th occasion of the Juan Oncala Fair Tournament that was held in La Cañada and included the participation of Villarreal, Celta, Almería and the hosts, La Cañada.

The Academy products won 2-0 over the Amarillo Submarino youth side in the semi-finals to seal passage to a final that could take place against either La Cañada or RC Celta de Vigo, who faced each other in the other semis. It was the Galician youth outfit that beat the hosts on penalties. It was a highly contested final in which both youth teams showed their enormous potential throughout the full 90 minutes.

The UDA Academy Rojiblancos were really strong on set pieces with a very personal style of play, tightly closed at the back and playing out against a high pressing team. As a result of this game, the Indálicos found the opener inside 20 minutes, however, the lads from Celta also displayed a good tactical game and managed to level it up (1-1).

In the second half, UD Almería Under-19s 'A' broke the deadlock to put themselves in front again with a goal netted in the 76th minute, yet again Celta gained momentum and 10 minutes later managed to equalise.

The final still had a very special moment to come since on 90 minutes, UD Almería Under-19s 'A' made it 3-2 to lift the Juan Oncala Fair trophy.
