Sole judge's ruling on AD Ceuta FC vs UD Almería

Both clubs and LaLiga have until 12 noon this Monday, 17 November to present their arguments regarding the new date. If no agreement is reached, the RFEF legal body will decide

UD Almería are awaiting the decision that the Sole Judge for Professional Competitions of the Spanish Football Federation may make regarding the resumption of the match at the Alfonso Murube stadium, which was suspended at half-time due to the tragic death of a Ceutí supporter. The Sole Judge informed UD Almería, AD Ceuta FC and LaLiga that they have until 12 noon this Monday, 17 November to present their arguments regarding the date for playing the second half of this match.

Both clubs have proposed Wednesday, 26 November at 4 pm (CET) as the new date for the second-half, as indicated in the referee’s report. However, this is contingent on LaLiga agreeing to move the Deportivo La Coruña vs AD Ceuta FC fixture, originally set for Sunday, 23 November, to Saturday, 22 November. AD Ceuta FC argue that returning to Northern Africa on Monday, 24 November, would leave too little time for recovery before the proposed match.

While LaLiga is hesitant to accommodate the change due to the potential impact on other clubs, including Deportivo, if an agreement cannot be reached, the Sole Judge will make a decision based on the written submissions of the involved parties.

If the RFEF's legal body sets a specific date, both UD Almería and AD Ceuta FC will have 48 hours to file any objections if they disagree with the ruling.

UD Almería considers 26 November to be the ideal date, as the club would face scheduling conflicts in December with both league fixtures and Spanish Cup commitments.
