UD Almería 'B' visit promotion-chasers UCAM Murcia

The Academy Rojiblancos winless in 10 matches, face a tough away test this Sunday at 12 noon at the La Condomina Stadium

UD Almería 'B' take on their Matchday 23 fixture in Group IV of the Segunda RFEF this Sunday, kicking off at 12 noon as they visit UCAM Murcia at the La Condomina stadium in Murcia. It’s a clash between two sides with very different objectives: the Rojiblancos are edging closer to relegation, while the hosts are firmly in the race for promotion.

UD Almería 'B' currently sit second from bottom, having gone 10 league games without a win. They are 14 points adrift of safety and 13 away from the relegation play-off spot. Meanwhile, the 'Universitarios' occupy third place in the table and remain strong contenders to move up a division.

UD Almería 'B' would need to put together a remarkable winning run to keep their survival hopes alive. However, with 12 matches still to play, including Sunday’s trip to Murcia, there is still mathematical room for belief. Head coach José María Salmerón refuses to throw in the towel, despite being fully aware of the difficult situation.

The last time the Academy Indálicos tasted victory was at the end of November, on Matchday 12, when they stunned then-leaders CD Extremadura with a 2–4 away win. A similar statement result would provide a major boost, especially as recent performances have arguably deserved more than the results have shown.
