The Academy prospects defeated Nigeria’s Mavlon FC 1-0 in a friendly match played at the Anexo base, s preparations continue throughout the month of May
UD Almería 'B' may have completed their campaign in Group IV of the Segunda RFEF, but the team remain active and continued their schedule with a friendly fixture this Thursday against Nigerian side Mavlon FC at the Anexo pitch.
The youthful Rojiblancos secured a 1-0 victory thanks to a second-half strike from Yago Paredes, who found the back of the net in the 65th minute.
The youth squad will continue training at least throughout the month of May, primarily to support the first team whenever required, with several 'B' team players regularly joining Rubi’s senior squad sessions depending on the coaching staff’s needs.
As previously confirmed, UD Almería 'B' were relegated and will compete next season in Group IX of the fifth-tier Tercera RFEF, where they will once again face Málaga CF’s 'B' side as well as UD Melilla, who also dropped down a division.
The competition will feature clubs from Málaga, Jaén and Granada provinces, including Huétor-Vega, San Pedro, Atlético Porcuna, Alhaurino, FC Marbellí and Recreativo Granada, among others.
