UD Almería 'B' host relegation play-off side Salerm Puente Genil FC

Winless in 11 matches, the Academy prospects return to the Anexo pitch determined to end their drought

UD Almería 'B' are back in action this Sunday at 12 noon as they host Salerm Puente Genil FC at the Anexo pitch, aiming to finally rediscover the winning formula in Group IV of the fourth-tier Segunda RFEF.

The fixture, corresponding to Matchday 24, represents yet another opportunity for the young Rojiblancos to halt a worrying run that has now stretched to 11 league winless games. Their last triumph dates back to late November, when they stunned then-leaders CD Extremadura away from home.

It will also be their 11th outing of the season at the Anexo base, a venue where they are still searching for their first win of the campaign. Although the side did record a home victory earlier in the season, that success came at the Francisco Pomedio Stadium in Huércal, while the Anexo pitch was undergoing renovation. Ending that barren streak on familiar turf now adds extra motivation for the hosts.

The Puente Genil girls arrive occupying the relegation play-off position, holding a 14-point advantage over UD Almería 'B', who currently sit second from bottom in the standings. A victory would at least allow the gap to be reduced with ten matches still to play.

The situation remains extremely challenging, but while mathematical hope survives, the objective is clear: compete with pride, fight for every ball and give it their all on the pitch, even if those slim survival chances eventually fade.

Season-ticket holders will be granted free entry upon presentation of their season card, while general admission tickets are priced at €10.
