UD Almería 'B' to test invincible skill as visitors

The UDA prospects, who have not lost away from home so far, visit CD Minera, Group IV co-leaders of Segunda RFEF. The Cartagena opponents have built in a fort on their pitch

UD Almería 'B' face a challenge on Matchday 10 since they will test invincible skills as visitors against one of the most powerful rivals on home turf. Group IV Second-placed CD Minera are level on points as joint leaders along with table-toppers CD Linares. The UDA 'B' prospects are having a brilliant season and they are placed in the play-offs zone. They have played 4 away games with a record of one victory and three draws.

Their next rivals, who are also a recently promoted outfit, have played four other matches on home soil, winning three and drawing one.

The sports venue is going to be a handicap for the youthful Rojiblancos, since it is made of artificial grass and is small in size, as explained by head coach Alberto Lasarte, who has also had a complicated week again having been training numerous 'B' team players with the first team on the occasion of the Spanish Cup.

Goalkeeper Bruno Iribarne and forward Lorenzo, lined up against Sanse, made their official UD Almería senior debut. Mr Lasarte was pleased with this because, as he stressed, it is the main objective of a 'B' team player.

By the way, CD Minera played the Cup last Thursday, thrashing CD Tudelano in Navarra (0-5), which represents significant wear and tear, especially with the long trip they had to make.

Without a doubt, it will be an interesting battle between youth and veteran players, two teams that are doing very well in their Segunda RFEF debut. The league appointment takes place at 12 noon this Sunday.
