UD Almería 'B' set sights on Recreativo de Granada and their new head coach
UD Almería 'B' are raring to make up for their last defeat in Linares with a new victory at home against relegation-threatened opponents who have achieved a draw and lost 7 games in the last 8 games. The league meeting takes place at 12 noon on Sunday
The two second teams of UD Almería and Granada CF face off on very different runs of results. While the lads from Almeria are fourth in the promotion play-off positions, the Granada-based side occupy relegation places (second to last) and are on an 8-game losing streak, with one draw and 7 defeats, four in a row in their last games. A priori it can be considered that UD Almería 'B' are the favourites to win, but the Rojiblancos do not take for granted their next adversaries at all, who are going to visit the Anexo pitch with a new head coach in the driving seat. Jon Erice has been dismissed and his place has been taken by Raúl Barroso, who until now headed to Granada e's Under-19s 'A'.
The points at stake are vital for both sides. In the case of the hosts, to get a little closer to 'mathematical' league safety and then see the situation because from behind the teams are pushing hard.
Regarding Recreativo de Granada with the aim of reacting in the league. They are 8 points adrift from league survival. Both teams will also depend on the players who may be called up by the first teams of their respective clubs this weekend. UD Almería 'B' have had several of its players training regularly with the first team members this week.
