UD Almería 'B' begin return fixtures by hosting Águilas FC
The game will be played at 12 noon this Sunday. 'From now on all teams are going to fight to the death to win games,' says head coach Alberto Lasarte
UD Almería 'B' are preparing to face Matchday 18, which is the halfway point of the season with the first return fixture and the first of 2025. The youthful Rojiblancos host Águilas FC at 12 noon this Sunday with the firm intention of starting in the same way as they said goodbye to 2024; with a victory at home.
The skilful Indálicos sit fourth in the table within the promotion play-off zone in their debut campaign in this tier. The rivals are clear contenders to earn promotion although they are not well placed in the standings for the time being. They are actually relegation threatened by the drop zone, they are 5 points adrift from the privileged places, so it will not be easy opponents to defeat; quite the opposite. They have registered 4 wins, yet they have only lost 3 because they have a hard time scoring goals, while they are solid at the back. Hence the 10 draws recorded so far.
UD Almería 'B' head coach Alberto Lasarte warns: 'As soon as they improve their attacking effectiveness they will move to the top because they are a team with the highest aspirations.' Furthermore, as he added on UDA Radio, the Club's official radio station, 'from now on all rivals are going to fight to the death and this should not take us by surprise. We must be active from this Sunday.'
The Christmas break has served to recover players 'who will contribute to the competition, which is always positive. In the final stretch of the first half of the campaign we were very tight and we had to improvise in some areas,' explained Alberto Lasarte.
UD Almería season-ticket holders will have free access with their season cards, while tickets will go on general sale for €10.
