UD Almería 'B' wrap up home campaign against CD Minera

The UD Almería Academy youth side host promotion-chasing opponents in a crucial clash at the Anexo ground ahead of the final fixture

UD Almería 'B' bring their home season to a close this Sunday at 12 noon as they face CD Minera at the Anexo groundin the penultimate fixture of the fourth-tier Segunda RFEF. While the youthful Rojiblancos have already been relegated for several weeks, their opponents arrive with everything still to play for.

The Murcia-based side are firmly in the promotion race, alongside Águilas FC,  whom UD Almería 'B' will visit next week in the final fixture. As such, the Andalusian sides could play a decisive role in shaping the outcome of the title race.

CD Minera currently sit third in the standings with 57 points, level with second-placed CD Extremadura, while FC Águilas lead the table on 58. Just behind, UCAM Murcia CF and Xerez CD occupy fourth and fifth with 55 points, followed by Recreativo de Huelva and Real Jaén on 54. With only two matches remaining, the race for the single automatic promotion spot and four play-off places remains wide open.

For CD Minera, victory is essential to keep their hopes of automatic promotion alive or at least secure a place in the play-offs. For the UD Almería 'B' boys, the objective is simpler: to sign off at home with a W and show pride in front of their fans, despite having little left at stake in terms of the table.

Supporters of UD Almería will have free entry with their season cards, while general admission is priced at €10.
