UD Almería 'B' seek first home win of season against UCAM Murcia

Head coach Alberto Lasarte calls for improvement as the Academy prospects aim to break home struggles

UD Almería 'B' will look to secure their first home win of the season when they host UCAM Murcia at the Anexo this Sunday at 12 noon. After a tough start to the campaign, the youthful Rojiblancos are eager to claim their first 3 points on home soil.

The young Rojiblancos have endured a difficult run, losing all three of their previous home games against Recreativo de Huelva, Linares Deportivo, and FC Águilas, with some results considered unjust.

Currently second from bottom in the standings with 1 win and 5 losses, including 4 consecutive defeats, the youth side is still searching for consistency in Group IV of the fourth-tier Segunda RFEF.

Head coach Alberto Lasarte remains optimistic but stressed the importance of overcoming key challenges: 'We need to break many barriers, particularly in attack, where we’ve only scored once, and prevent conceding early, as we've done in past matches.'

The gaffer also acknowledged the strength of UCAM Murcia, who competed in last season's promotion play-offs: 'We have to focus on winning at home, no matter who we face.'

The Academy products are making steady progress in training and Mr Lasarte is confident that a victory is not far off. The support of the fans will be crucial, with season-ticket holders enjoying free admission and general tickets priced at €10.
