UD Almería Stadium must be a cauldron on Tuesday night

UD Almería supporters played a key role in Castellón and are now expected to drive the team towards the play-off final. A win or a draw will be enough for the Rojiblancos

The UD Almería Stadium is set to host the second leg of the promotion play-off semi-final on Tuesday at 9pm Spanish Time with a place in the final at stake. After securing a draw in the first leg against CD Castellón, the Rojiblancos hold a slight advantage, making home support a potentially decisive factor.

The UD Almería Stadium is expected to become a true cauldron, with the Club hoping for its first sell-out crowd of the season despite the match taking place on a working day.

UD Almería's supporters were outstanding at the SkyFi Castalia Stadium, where more than 500 travelling fans made themselves heard throughout the contest. On Tuesday, the home crowd will be expected to create an equally intimidating atmosphere and roar the team on.

Following the draw in Castellón, Rubi’s side know that either a victory or another draw will be enough to book their place in the play-off final. A defeat, however, would bring their promotion hopes to an end.

The Rojiblancos have shown impressive consistency at home throughout the season and now have a golden opportunity to remain in the fight for a return to the top flight. Nevertheless, they face a strong CD Castellón side that will make life extremely difficult.

UD Almería finished 3rd in the regular-season standings, while CD Castellón ended 6th, giving the Rojiblancos the advantage in the event of a tie. Should the aggregate score remain level after 90 minutes, extra time would be played and if the deadlock still could not be broken, UD Almería would advance to the final without the need for a penalty shootout.
