The Rojiblancos will work out at the training base on Wednesday afternoon as they begin preparations for Saturday's demanding clash against SD Eibar
UD Almería returned from the Valencia-based town of Villanueva de Castellón after facing UD Castellonense in the Spanish Cup first-round. The journey back took just over four hours by road, with the team now set to continue a hectic week featuring 3 matches.
There is little time to rest, with the squad returning to training on Wednesday at 2 pm at the Anexo pitch as they shift their focus back to LaLiga Hypermotion as they get ready for Saturday's demanding fixture against third-placed SD Eibar at the Ipurua stadium. UD Almería currently sit second in the table, 3 points ahead of the Basque Country side.
Two further training sessions are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, with the latter taking place before the travelling squad travel to Eibar.
Having been forced to play extra time in the Copa del Rey and unable to rest players given how the match unfolded, head coach Xavier García Pimienta will assess the squad's condition. He will also monitor the progress of Mikel Vesga and Chirino, who were not included in the squad for the Cup tie. Nico Melamed and Rodrigo Ely are both ruled out.
