Elche CF and Águilas FC will be UD Almería's pre-season opponents
The Elicitanos, who earned promotion to the top tier, will be playing the Rojiblancos on 8 August in Lorca. Before that, on 3 August, the Alfonso García Zapata Memorial Trophy will be played in the town of Águilas
Recently-promoted top-tier side Elche CF and third-tier Segunda RFEF side Águilas FC will face UD Almería during the pre-season. These two friendlies will be played two weeks before to the start of LaLiga Hypermotion.
The Club's sports department is working on the first-team squad and arranging the pre-season friendlies to help the team members bold quickly. For now, the summer test between UD Almería and Elche CF, recently promoted to the top flight of Spanish football has been arranged. The friendly will take place at the Francisco Artés Carrasco Stadium in Lorca at 7:30pm on Friday, 8 August. It will serve as a good starting point just days before the start of the official competition.
Before that, on Sunday, 3 August, Rubi's men will visit Águilas FC at El Rubial Stadium in Águilas to compete in the Alfonso García Zapata Memorial Trophy, the father of former UD Almería president Alfonso García Gabarrón. The match kick-off is also at 7:30pm Spanish Time.
The first team pre-season will begin on Monday, 14 July with the usual medicals and initial training sessions. Between the 22nd and 31st of this month, UD Almería will hold a training camp in Marbella at The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort.
Before leaving for the training camp, the Indálicos could play their first pre-season match and then play several more friendlies in Málaga before returning to Almería. There are still a few more summer matches to be confirmed.
