UD Almería complete Thursday's morning session before travelling to Marbella for an 8-day pre-season camp packed with training, friendlies and team-building activities
UD Almería will take a short break before beginning the next stage of their pre-season preparations in Marbella. Following the team's second friendly of the summer against Granada CF, head coach García Pimienta has given his players a brief opportunity to recover before the squad travels on Thursday afternoon.
The Rojiblancos will hold their training camp in Marbella from 31 July to 7 August as they continue preparing for the start of the 2026/27 season. Once again, the squad will be based at the Marbella Football Center, while staying at The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort, where the Club has regularly held their pre-season camps in recent years.
The 8-day stay will combine daily training sessions with several friendly matches as UD Almería continue to build fitness, rhythm and tactical understanding ahead of the opening fixture of the next campaign.
The first test comes on 1 August, when the Rojiblancos face Real Betis at the Nuevo Mirador stadium in La Línea. It will provide an excellent challenge against a side preparing to compete in the UEFA Champions League this season.
Two additional friendlies are also scheduled during the camp, giving García Pimienta's squad further opportunities to continue their development and arrive in the best possible condition for the new campaign.
As well as the work on the pitch, the training camp will play an important role in strengthening the group's unity. Spending eight days together will help reinforce the team's spirit and cohesion as UD Almería continue building towards the start of another demanding LaLiga Hypermotion season.
