UD Almería undergoe LaLiga ‘check-up’

Officials from 8 departments of LaLiga met with the various operational areas to assess the Club’s current development and long-term strategy

UD Almería held an intensive working session with LaLiga this week, specifically with the Club Office, the department responsible for overseeing all areas beyond what happens on the pitch, focusing on infrastructure, business development and institutional growth.

The initiative forms part of the long-term framework established through LaLiga Impulso, launched after investment group CVC Capital Partners injected €1.994 billion into Spanish football clubs to support expansion, modernisation and consolidation projects. As a result, the Club Office was created to monitor and support these developments.

Representatives from 8 LaLiga departments met with their counterparts at the Andalusian Club to review ongoing projects, monitor progress and assess both short- and long-term objectives across the organisation.

The day began with a general presentation led by Pablo Armiñana, Strategy and Business Executive at the Club Office, inside the conference room at the UD Almería Stadium.

The sessions then moved into specialised areas, covering Human Resources, Technology, Brand, Commercial, Digital, Communications, Infrastructure Management and International Development.

Most Club employees attended the opening session to gain a wider understanding of the projects underway, before separate department meetings were held to discuss each area in greater depth.

LaLiga praised UD Almería for the progress being made across multiple sectors of the Club and also outlined strategic recommendations for the short and medium term.

One of the key topics during the visit was the second phase of the UD Almería Stadium redevelopment project, considered a major step in the Club’s long-term growth plans.
