UD Almería drawn away to CF Talavera de la Reina in Spanish Cup first-round

The Rojiblancos will have to visit the Toledo-based opponents, who are Group V Segunda RFEF current pacesetters and Copa Federación semifinalists

UD Almería have been drawn away to CF Talavera de la Reina in the first round of the Spanish Cup, whose draw took place this Tuesday at the RFEF headquarters.

The opponents compete in lower-tier Segunda RFEF, however they are Copa Federación semifinalist. It will not be a very long trip taking into account other teams' venues across Spain. In addition, the match will be played as a single-legged tie on El Prado pitch, which is in good conditions.

CF Talavera were Copa Federación semi-finalists, something very significant, as it is the fact that the Toledanos are Group V current pacesetters in the Segunda RFEF division following 5 wins and 2 draws. They have not been defeated yet this season and have conceded only one goal in 7 games. Therefore, tough opponents will host the Rojiblancos in the Spanish tournament, who will not make it easy at all since they will be playing on home turf.

The Toledo-based city of Talavera de la Reina side has in its ranks players with extensive experience in higher tiers and the club's objective is none other than promotion to Primera RFEF.
