UD Almería drawn against CF Lorca Deportiva in Spanish Cup first-round

The Rojiblancos are set for an away single-legged tie that will be held on 28/29 or 30 October at the Francisco Artés Carrasco Stadium in Lorca, Murcia

UD Almería will face CF Lorca Deportiva in the first round of the Spanish Cup, following Monday's draw at the Spanish Football Federation headquarters. The single-legged tie will be played on one of the dates: 28/29 or 30 October, with the exact date and kick-off time yet to be confirmed.

The Rojiblancos will travel to Lorca for a relatively short away trip, as the opponents compete with UD Almería 'B' in the same group (IV) of the fourth-tier Segunda RFEF, where CF Lorca Deportiva currently find themselves struggling at the bottom of the standings after their promotion last summer.

While the Francisco Artés Carrasco Stadium is easily accessible for UD Almería's travelling supporters, the pitch quality remains a concern. The surface was in poor condition during a pre-season friendly against Elche CF in August, raising questions about how it will fare for the competitive fixture.
