Back to regular rhythm: Sunday to Sunday
After a demanding 3-game week, UD Almería now face decisive clashes against Racing Santander and Málaga CF
The calendar returns to normal but not without intensity. After navigating a challenging run of 3 matches in a single week, UD Almería will now play every 7 days. However, the upcoming fixtures are anything but routine, as the Rojiblancos prepare to take on league pacesetters Racing Santander and fellow promotion contenders Málaga CF.
Both sides defeated the Rojiblancos in the first half of the season, adding extra motivation for UD Almería, who will be aiming not only to secure points but also to overturn the head-to-head goal difference. Achieving that objective, however, will require nothing less than victory.
Next Sunday, 12 April, UD Almería will travel to visit Racing Santander for a special 'Retro Matchday,' where teams will wear kits inspired by past eras. The Rojiblancos will don a historic strip marking the debut of the UD initials. Kick-off is set for prime time at 9pm (Spanish Time).
The following Sunday, 19 April, UD Almería will once again play under the spotlight, this time hosting Málaga CF also at 9pm (Spanish Time).
2 matches. 2 massive challenges. These fixtures will go a long way in shaping UD Almería’s path in the final stretch of the season whether pushing for automatic promotion or preparing for the play-offs, which ultimately lead to the same goal, albeit by a longer route.
Regardless of the outcomes against Racing Santander and Málaga CF, nothing will be decided just yet. 6 matches will still remain, with a total of 18 points left to fight for.
