Cádiz CF vs UD Almería postponed: rescheduled for Sunday at 16:15,

LaLiga, following a communication from the Andalusian Government, decided not to play the match on Saturday due to adverse weather conditions. The team received the news at their hotel, while fans were either already travelling or had just arrived in Cádiz. Rubi did not understand why the AD Ceuta FC vs Córdoba CF match was suspended on Friday but not the one at the Nuevo Mirandilla stadium

The match between UD Almería and Cádiz CF originally scheduled for Saturday at 9pm at the Nuevo Mirandilla stadium, has been postponed and will now take place on Sunday at 4:15pm at the same venue.

The decision comes after LaLiga received a recommendation from the Andalusian Government, via the Minister of Health and Emergencies, to suspend the match due to 'exceptional weather conditions caused by extreme wind and rain.' With the game postponed, the new date and time were set within the same weekend to avoid disrupting the teams' calendars.

The UD Almería squad, who had travelled to Jerez via charter flight and then by road to Cádiz, received the news while at their hotel. The team will remain in Cádiz and play the rescheduled match on Sunday, before returning home afterward.

However, the situation has created logistical challenges for UD Almería's chartered flight, which has other bookings for Sunday afternoon. The Club will now need to find a new flight or potentially return by road. Additionally, with a short week ahead, UD Almería will need to adjust their training schedule as they prepare for their next match on Friday.

The postponement has caused frustration for UD Almería's travelling supporters, many of whom were already in Cádiz or en route by the time the decision was made around 3pm on Saturday. The bad weather had been forecasted the previous day and head coach Rubi had expressed some uncertainty but reassured that the trip was made with assurances that the game would go ahead. Unfortunately, the late decision has impacted both the team and their fans.
