Real Betis U19 vs UD Almería U19 'A': one of the few youth division matches to be played

The Academy prospects take on Betis U19 in key youth clash amid weather-related postponements

The Real Betis U19s vs UD Almería U19s 'A' match, part of the División de Honor national youth league (Group IV), will be one of the few games to take place this weekend, as the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has postponed 6 other fixtures in the same group due to adverse weather conditions.

The postponed games include Melilla vs Granada, La Mosca vs Málaga CF, La Cañada vs Maracena, Vázquez Cultural vs Calavera, Córdoba vs Sporting Atlético and Cádiz CF vs Arenas de Armilla. However, matches in the Seville province have been approved, including Tomares vs CD Mosquito, Sevilla FC vs San Félix and the Betis vs UD Almería Under-19s 'A' match. The young Rojiblancos, comfortably placed in the standings, will visit joint-leaders Betis U19s who are in a tight battle with Granada CF for the top spot.

As for UD Almería’s other youth teams, none of the 11 teams will play this weekend. UD Almería under-19s 'B', both UDA under-12s outfits, UDA under-10s 'A' and the two UDA under-8s have all had their games cancelled by the Andalusian Football Federation due to the extreme weather conditions.

The two UD Almería U16s teams, two under-14s teams and under-10s 'B' were already scheduled to have a rest this weekend.

Last weekend, bad weather also led to the suspension of 5 matches involving UD Almería’s youth teams.
