UD Almería ready for post-holiday reset with Lázaro Vinicius

The Brazilian attacker returns after his international loan spell at top-tier side SE Palmeiras. Lucas Robertone begins group training. The Rojiblancos focus on the Spanish Cup round of 32 tie against Sevilla FC

UD Almería are back to training after the Christmas holidays, a week that has served the team to unwind and recharge their batteries before the restart of the competition in 2025. On Saturday, 4 January, they will be playing hosts to Sevilla FC in the Spanish Cup round of 32.

The presence of Lázaro Vinicius, who was already introduced by head coach Rubi before the Christmas break, has been the highlight of this Monday's session. The Brazilian attacker returns after his loan spell at Brazilian top-tier side SE Palmeiras. On Thursday, 2 January, the January transfer window opens and the footballer will be registered. Despite having a contract with SE Palmeiras until 31 December, both clubs have reached an agreement so that Lázaro can join UD Almería training. The Club truly appreciates the willingness of the São Paulo-based team.

In addition, Lucas Robertone has been following part of the session with the group. The Argentinian underwent surgery for a left shoulder dislocation on 4 October. He will gradually integrate with the rest of his team-mates.

As for the long-term absences, Baba and Gui Guedes, as well as Fernando and Léo Baptistāo, both with muscular issues, are making progress in their recovery processes. UD Almería 'B' youngsters Bruno Iribarne, QuintanillaRachad and Perović continue to train along with the first team members as they are all fully focused on preparing for next Saturday's Cup tie against Sevilla FC.

The Rojiblancos, who also have an evening session, will exercise this Tuesday morning on the Anexo pitch to have a rest on New Year's Day. On Thursday and Friday, they will be put through their paces behind closed doors to complete their preparation.
