UD Almería training to regain play-off spots

The Rojiblancos are now training behind closed doors as they prepare for Friday's match against Burgos CF at El Plantío Stadium (8:30pm Spanish Time)

UD Almería are facing a short but intense week of training that will end on Friday with the match against Burgos CF at El Plantío Stadium (Matchday 32). The Rojiblancos held their second session this Wednesday and Thursday, which will be their last training session before the match. The UD Almería squad will travel to the city of Burgos on the day of the match, on a charter flight.

Rubi has numerous absences due to injuries and the international call-ups of three of their players, namely Lopy, Bruno Langa, and Perovic. Despite this, the team are working with the intention of once again regaining the promotion play-off spots and continuing the surge they began last week with their victory over Real Zaragoza, after 8 matches without a win.

In fact, if they can pick up 3 points at El Plantío Stadium, they could move into the top 6 again, although to do so they need Oviedo and Huesca, or one of them, to avoid a win on their trips to Granada and Éibar, respectively.

The match in Burgos will be difficult because Ramis's team has won its last three competitive matches, is seven points clear of the relegation zone, and has regained confidence, which, combined with the home advantage, will be a handicap for UD Almería.
