UD Almería Women confirm date and time for play-off first leg: Sunday 11am
The Spanish Football Federation has officially confirmed the schedule for the first leg of the promotion play-offs to Segunda RFEF, which will see the Rojiblancas take on SD Nueva Montaña in Santander
The match between SD Nueva Montana and UD Almería Women takes place on Sunday, 3 May at 11am at the Vicente Miera Stadium, located in Peñacastillo on the outskirts of Santander.
Following Monday’s draw, which paired the top-teams from across the Tercera RFEF groups, the exact date and kick-off time remained unconfirmed until Thursday. This delay created uncertainty for the Club, both in sporting preparation and travel logistics.
Despite the lack of clarity, UD Almería Women began planning their trip immediately after the draw. Flights from Alicante to Santander were secured and will be used as scheduled. However, previously arranged hotel bookings had to be cancelled due to confirmation deadlines expiring before official details were released. There were also unconfirmed reports suggesting that the Nueva Montaña players might withdraw from the play-offs for financial reasons, although this was never verified by the Federation.
The Indálicas will travel by road to Alicante on Saturday before flying to Santander, where they will contest the first leg on Sunday. The return leg will be played a week later at the Emilio Campra youth Stadium.
