Injury woes continue for UD Almería ahead of Matchday 25
Head coach Rubi faces several absences as the Rojiblancos travel to North Spain to take on CD Mirandés
UD Almería's injury problems persist as they prepare for their LaLiga Matchday 25 game against CD Mirandés this Saturday at 2pm, at the Anduva Stadium in Miranda de Ebro. Despite some key players returning, the Rojiblancos will be without several first-team regulars for the trip.
Head coach Rubi welcomes the return of midfielder André Horta, who has recovered from a virus and forward Thalys, who has sorted out his visa issues. However, UD Almería will be without centre-back Pedro Fidel, sidelined with a muscle injury, and midfielder Lucas Robertone, who is dealing with an Achilles tendon problem.
Additionally, long-term absentees include defenders Bonini and Chumi, midfielder Lopy as well as forward Nico Melamed. The squad is further depleted with Soko away on international duty for the Africa Cup of Nations, while Selvi has joined CD Mirandés on loan.
With a thin squad, several players from UD Almería 'B' have been called up, including youngsters Hou and Hugo. Defenders Bruno Iribarne, Dzôdić and Perović, who are typically part of the first-team but play above the squad limit of 25, have also made the trip.
The team held a final closed-door training session earlier today before flying to Vitoria, where they will stay overnight before travelling by road to Miranda de Ebro on Saturday morning.
