UD Almería take refuge in Stadium due to inclement weather
Indoor training focuses on physical conditioning ahead of Sunday's AD Ceuta FC home match
UD Almería returned to training on Wednesday after a day off on Tuesday, but had to adapt their plans due to the adverse weather conditions. Heavy rain and strong gusts forced the coaching staff to cancel their planned session at the training ground, as well as on the main pitch. With conditions unsuitable for proper training, the team opted to move indoors for a focused session on physical conditioning and preparation for their upcoming clash with AD Ceuta FC.
The upcoming match against AD Ceuta FC will mark the first of 3 consecutive home fixtures for UD Almería in February. The Rojiblancos will look to their home support at the Stadium as they aim to turn their season around. Following the Ceutís on Sunday, the Rojiblancos will travel to Cádiz CF on 7 February before returning to Almería for home matches against FC Andorra and Córdoba CF.
Head coach Rubi will welcome back Chirino this week after a one-match suspension, though Chumi and Lopy remain sidelined with injuries.
Training on Thursday will take place behind closed doors at the Anexo training ground, with sessions scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the UD Almería Stadium in preparation for the AD Ceuta FC match.
