UD Almería Women face their first away fixture of the season this Sunday at 12 noon, when the Rojiblancas travel to the  Valle de las Cañas Sports Complex to take on CF Pozuelo de Alarcón Women in women's Segunda RFEF Group III.

The CF Pozuelo de Alarcón girls will also be looking for their first points of the campaign after suffering a 2-1 home defeat to Fundación Real Betis Balompié on the opening day. UD Almería Women likewise began the season with a narrow 3-2 defeat at home to Canaria-based side Femarguín, despite fighting back from 2 goals down.

The fixture will provide another important test for the Indálicas as they continue to adapt to the new tier. The team will again be without Jessi Higueras and Paqui Campoy, with both attacking players currently on international duty with the Spanish beach soccer team.

After showing plenty of character against Femarguín, the Rojiblancas will be looking to go all out for the 3 points in Pozuelo. Their opponents have plenty of Segunda RFEF experience, with this being their third consecutive season in the division and will be determined to respond following their opening-day defeat and their Copa de la Reina elimination.

UD Almería Women will be aiming to make their first away trip of the season a successful one.
