UD Almería settle in at home
Players and coaching staff are training inside the UDA Stadium, the venue where 4 of the last 6 league matches will be played. Math helps them get back to their promotion dream
UD Almería trained this Wednesday inside the UDA Stadium to feel at home, as the team will be the only team at the top of the league table to play at home in 4 of its last 6 league fixtures. Rubi's team are looking to make the most of this opportunity to cling to their hopes of promotion to the top flight.
Despite experiencing one of the most difficult periods of the season, the numbers and math offer a real chance of achieving their goal. The 7 teams facing the Indálicos will play a total of 11 matches against each other; this means that in every Matchday remaining until the end, there will be at least one clash in which all 3 teams cannot score.
Without going any further, this week there will be a Granada CF vs Elche CF and an Real Oviedo vs Levante UD. This will be the pattern every week, with UD Almería having 2 games remaining against Racing de Santander and CD Mirandés. If we add to this the large number of teams still with goals in mind and the competitiveness in the division, it is expected that these last 18 points left at stake will trigger many possible scenarios.
Although it's obvious to point out the importance and difficulty of moving up to the top flight of Spanish football, the UD Almería players are convinced that there's still much to say, speaking on the pitch and engaging its fans as Lucas Robertone recently stated on UDA Radio.
The squad still has many days and many training sessions ahead of them before starting the comeback, starting with their next match against Racing Club Ferrol at the stadium, the place where the most guarantees have been offered this year.
