The Rojiblancos wrapped up their final training session on Friday and are set for their first summer friendly against Águilas FC on Saturday (KO 8pm Spanish Time)
UD Almería put their daily training schedule on hold on Friday as full attention turned to their first pre-season friendly. The Rojiblancos travel to face Águilas FC on Saturday at 8pm Spanish Time at El Rubial stadium in the opening friendly of the summer, the first of several matches designed to build fitness, cohesion and competitive sharpness ahead of the new campaign.
During Friday's session, head coach García Pimienta focused on both defensive and attacking patterns of play, continuing to instil the tactical principles and clearly defined playing style he wants his team to adopt.
With just 9 days of pre-season under their belts following the late conclusion of last season, UD Almería are eager to begin developing as a team through the chemistry and match rhythm that only competitive fixtures can provide. Newly promoted to Spain's third-tier, Águilas FC will offer the first test of the summer for the Andalusian side.
