UD Almería get set for another home test

García Pimienta's side trained at the UD Almería Stadium on Wednesday as they continue preparations for the first of two consecutive home games. Two more training sessions remain before Saturday's clash

UD Almería are getting ready for another important home battle against strong opponents from North Spain. The Rojiblancos trained at the UD Almería Stadium ahead of Saturday's game with Burgos CF, a team currently competing near the top of the table and one that will demand the very best from UD Almería.

One of the key messages as the team look to extend their excellent run of results over the past 4 matches is to focus solely on the next game. There is no point looking back at what has already happened or thinking too far ahead. The squad and coaching staff know that Burgos CF have lost just one away game this season and sit directly behind the Rojiblancos in the table. It is therefore a direct clash against very difficult opponents with the Burgos side coming into the game on the back of 3 consecutive victories and a 5-match unbeaten run.

Head coach García Pimienta called up UD Almería 'B' youngsters Ayouba Koné, Kassoum, Tomasević and Popović to train with the first team.

UD Almería will continue preparations on Thursday, working on the final details ahead of Saturday's fixture, which kicks off at 4:15pm at the UD Almería Stadium.
