UD Almería prepares for El Alcoraz test

The Rojiblancos face SD Huesca this Friday, opponents whose home record does not reflect their league position

Ahead of their second back-to-back away match and also their second in Aragon, UD Almería are applying hard work, concentration and a state of alertness against a deceptive opponents. SD Huesca, despite being in the relegation zone, have earned the vast majority of their points at home, at El Alcoraz stadium, where the UD Almería travelling squad will head to with the intention of improving their away form.

SD Huesca's home record is mid-table; from 11th to last place, only one team have a better record than SD Huesca (23 points) and that is Real Sociedad 'B'. Of the 15 matches played at home, they have only lost 4 times, and this coupled with the change of head coach following Oltra's arrival, makes the match much more challenging than the league table suggests.

That's why UD Almería are meticulously preparing for the fixture on Matchday 31, with a closed-door training session this Wednesday to be delivered at the UDA Stadium.

The squad, now under Rubi's leadership, will try to find a way to bounce back from their defeat to Real Zaragoza. They will continue this preparation until Friday, when the team will travel with the clear objective of securing all 3 points, virtually reclaiming their automatic promotion spot and returning from Huesca with a much-needed boost.
