UD Almería leave Bilbao this Saturday and will have post-game recovery after touching down

The squad members will rest on Sunday. Another training week will begin on Monday even though there is no league action due to the next international break coming up

UD Almería leave Bilbao this Saturday after facing the match against Athletic Club at the San Mamés Stadium. As soon as the UD Almería travelling squad land at the airport, they will head straight to the Power Horse Stadium in order to have a post-match active recovery session on the Anexo ground, which will take place around 12 noon. The coaching staff is aware that an effective post-game recovery programme helps players perform to a high standard in their next fixture that will come in a couple of weeks.

The squad will have Sunday off so that on Monday, they can start a new blank matchday week as there will not be league competition due to the international break in which different national teams will gear up towards either the UEFA Euro 2024 that will be held in Germany or the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. In fact, the Rojiblancos will not play another LaLiga EA Sports fixture again until Sunday, 22nd October (KO 4:14pm Spanish Time) when they will be hosted by arch-rivals Girona FC at the Montilivi Stadium.

The week, despite the absences of the international players, will serve to continue correcting aspects of their game, improving others and checking wether those injured footballers are making positive progress such as Lucas Robertone and Édgar, who suffer from muscular discomfort, given that both Luis Suárez and Marc Pubill are ruled out until 2024.
