UD Almería bolster frontline by signing Ibrahima Koné

The Malian striker, who moves from French Ligue 1 side FC Lorient, puts pen-to-paper on a five-year deal

Ibrahima Koné, a 24-year-old Malian striker who is 1.90m tall, becomes the eighth UD Almería recruit to bolster the Rojiblancos' frontline. Moving from French Ligue 1 side FC Lorient, he has put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal. 
 
During the last two seasons, he has featured in 53 games in the top tier of French football, in addition to playing 3 Coupe de France games, scoring 14 goals and producing 2 assists. This season, he was lined up in the FC Lorient squad on the first Matchday of the Ligue 1. Prior to his arrival in French football, Koné also played for Norwegian and Turkish football teams.
 
The new UD Almería signing is a Mali international who was born on 16th June, 1999 in Babako. He is a talented striker of great physical power with a deft touch that belies his powerful stature and general play. He will surely contribute a lot to UD Almería's attack.
