UD Almería back to thick of things with sights set on Elche CF

The team are eager to bring good vibes back with sheer determination and show their true potential in next Monday's clash against the Franjiverde outfit. Gui Guedes begins to do some ball work on the lawn

The UD Almería travelling squad returned to training this Wednesday with a renewed  mindset after the 3-1 defeat experienced in La Coruña and with their eyes set on Monday's clash at 8:30pm (Spanish Time) at the UD Almeria Stadium against in-form Elche CF, a side who are in the same tight race for promotion as the Indálicos.

They say it is not worth looking back, but it depends on the way you look at it. The first look takes us to the last 4 fixtures on the trot in which the team have not achieved the expected results, but if we look further back, we can see a fantastic streak of positive results that led the Rojiblancos to top the LaLiga Hypermotion table.

Promotion was not assured before, nor now must we throw away the sensational work of a team that were undefeated for 14 consecutive Matchdays. The squad are very aware that the 'bleeding' of the small open wound must be healed and a victory over the Elicitanos would be the best 'medicine.'

Head coach Rubi began the session with the daily pep-talk in the midfield where the players are informed of not only the tasks and drills to be performed but also some other important pieces of info. In this coaching staff, only one language is spoken: graft, sacrifice and huge effort.  This is what the players who have worked up a sweat on the Anexo ground for 90 minutes have understood to meet the set objectives.

One of the new features of this Wednesday's practice was Gui Guedes exercising alone on the pitch under the instructions of the Club's conditioning coaches.
