After a week without competition, the Rojiblancas will get kitted out again against a team currently sitting third in the standings. The match will take place this Saturday at 4pm
UD Almería Women return to action after last weekend’s break, once again playing away from home. This time, they will travel to Seville to face SDF Real Betis Balompié at the Betis club’s sports complex. The Matchday 7 fixture will be played this Saturday at 4pm.
In their previous fixture, the Rojiblancas visited league leaders CD Argual on the Canary Island of La Palma. Now, they face another opponent near the top of the table. Betis are currently 3rd, just 2 points behind the first- and second-placed teams, with Málaga CF Women in second place.
The Betis side remain unbeaten, having recorded 4 wins and 2 draws so far. At home, they have won both matches they have played.
Given these circumstances, UD Almería Women face another extremely challenging fixture. They have yet to earn a point in Spain’s third tier of women’s football. They have lost all 6 of their matches, leaving them second from bottom, level on points with bottom-placed Fuensalida, who were also promoted this season.
Nevertheless, as we have previously reported, the Indálicas have shown more promising performances than their results might suggest, meaning a turnaround could come at any moment. Will it happen in Seville?
