UD Almería Women return to action with local derby against CFF Mvrgi
The Rojiblancas host El Ejido side at the Emilio Campra youth stadium as Esther Pascual makes her return
UD Almería Women resume league action after a 22-day break, welcoming CFF Mvrgi to the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium for a local derby kicking off at 12 noon this Sunday.
The Rojiblancas head into the fixture as clear leaders of Group IX, while the El Ejido-based side sit mid-table, albeit with an impressive away record that includes 4 wins, 1 draw and just a single defeat on the road. In the reverse fixture earlier this season, UD Almería Women claimed a convincing 4-0 victory.
Keen to avoid any hint of complacency, the Indálicas will be bolstered by the return of centre-back Esther Pascual Cerdán. The 22-year-old left-footed defender rejoins the club after a spell with Burgos CF Women in the Segunda RFEF Women, strengthening the squad for the second match of the season’s second half.
