UD Almería Women resume competition as league champions

The girls, who have not competed over the past couple of weekends, will host Atlético Jiennense this Sunday at 12 noon at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium

UD Almería Women return to league action after a 2-week break in the competition and they do so at home while celebrating their recent league title in Group IX of the Tercera RFEF women's tier. The girls side will host FCF Atlético Jiennense on Sunday at 12 noon at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium.

Their opponents are 3rd from bottom in the standings and is battling with Real Jaén Women to avoid the only remaining relegation spot yet to be decided. As mentioned, UD Almería Women are league champions and virtually assured of their place in the promotion play-offsalthough they still need 1 more point to mathematically guarantee finishing as the best team across the two Andalusian groups. In their group, Group IX, they are 11 points ahead of second place; compared to the Western Andalusia group, they hold a 9-point advantage over Cádiz CF women and Sevilla FC 'B' Women with 3 Matchdays remaining.
