UD Almería back to business with sights set on Getafe CF

The Rojiblancos have trained at the Power Horse Stadium, where they will step up preparations thinking about the Coliseum match and trying to register the first W of the season

UD Almería are back to business after having had the weekend off as there was no league action due to the international break. The players are now setting sights on Saturday's match against Getafe CF at the Coliseum stadium (KO 6:30pm/ Matchday 14). On this first day of training, Gaizka Garitano had 14 outfield players as well as three goalkeepers, while Martin Šviderský, who is in the final stretch of his recovery from the serious injury he suffered with the 'B' team on the last Matchday last season, continues to work on the sidelines.

It must be taken into account that the head coach cannot count on the internationals yet since they are still away on international duty with their national teams: Mendes, Marciano, César Montes, Baba and Lopy, nor the footballers who are still injured, such as Luis Suárez, Koné, Marezi and Marc Pubill, in addition of the above-mentioned Šviderský. Some UD Almería 'B' youngsters will turn up in training to cover for the 10 senior absences.

This Tuesday, the squad will be preparing the tactics and game plan for Saturday's fixture in Getafe where the Rojiblancos will try again, for the umpteenth time, to register the first W from this 2023/24 season. Training will now be conducted behind closed doors.
