UD Almería back to business with Mendes and Edgar rejoining
The Rojiblancos are now fully focusing on their preparation for Saturday's home match against UD Las Palmas. This Thursday, they will set foot in the Power Horse Stadium with its new winter grass
.The UD Almería players have been back to business this Wednesday morning after the being off work last Tuesday. They started to work on their preparation for Saturday's game against UD Las Palmas at the Power Horse Stadium (kick-off 2pm Spain Time).
The presence of full-back Mendes and centre-back Edgar rejoining the group has been the highlight of the session held behind closed doors at the training base. Furthermore, Sergio Akieme is now doing ball work on the field, although he is still working his way back to full fitness.
Luis Suárez, Koné and Marc Pubill, who are set for long stints on the treatment table have been ruled out. On the other hand, three UD Almería 'B' players Peñalver, Aarón and Marcos Peña have joined the senior squad in training.
This Thursday, the team will have the first training season of the 2023/24 season on the new winter grass at the Power Horse Stadium. The reseeding work by the Royalverd company took approximately a month.
UD Almería will also be put through their paces on the Anexo training ground on Friday, the last football practice for Saturday's meeting against the islanders.
